The IBIY team developed the The Culture Shift Tour as a way to amplify our mission in K-12 schools. The Culture Shift Tour, lead by partner Jared Scott, provides key resources to our youth, and addresses critical challenges like mental health, resilience, and leadership. Through transformative assemblies, hands-on workshops, community events and the IBIY bracelet program, the tour reshapes school cultures and empowers the students and their educators.
how the culture shift tour works
When the Culture Shift Tour comes to your school, it’s not just another assembly—it’s the beginning of a transformation. Here’s what to expect:
Jared delivers an inspiring keynote that highlights real student-created ideas and solutions from schools across the country. He touches on critical topics like mental health, overcoming adversity, discovering your purpose, and overcoming the fear of failure. Jared also addresses modern-day issues, including the proper use of social media—an area where his expertise shines as an award-winning entrepreneur and founder of a social media tech company.
To make the experience even more impactful, Jared often invites past students who have been through the Culture Shift program and successfully started their own movements, nonprofits, and initiatives. These students share their stories and offer real-life insights, showing how their ideas became reality. Their presence adds an authentic, peer-to-peer connection, giving current students tangible examples of what's possible when they take ownership of change.
After the keynote, Jared hosts a breakout session with hand-selected student leaders. These students will brainstorm challenges and solutions specific to their school, creating a movement that’s truly their own. They’re not just participants—they’re the architects of change.
Jared then takes the students' ideas to a staff session, where he works with teachers and administrators to turn these concepts into a practical, step-by-step plan. Together, they develop actionable solutions that will have a lasting impact on the school’s culture.
The transformation doesn’t stop at the school level. Jared leads a community night, presenting the top student ideas to parents and community members, ensuring everyone is on board with the culture shift. This creates buy-in from all stakeholders and reinforces the school’s commitment to lasting change.
After the in-person event, Jared and his team don’t just walk away. They provide schools with a full action plan—a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to implement the student-driven movements created during the program. Jared’s team also offers virtual follow-up meetings with staff and students to provide ongoing support, ensuring that the movement continues to grow and evolve. Schools can also invite former Culture Shift students who have turned their ideas into reality, giving further inspiration and guidance to current students.

Two transformative movements—I Believe In You (IBIY) and The Culture Shift Tour—are joining forces to create lasting change in schools nationwide.
In 2017, Braxton Kilgo sparked a kindness revolution with "I Believe In You" stickers, leading to the creation of IBIY bracelets—passed forward to spread belief and encouragement. Through the IBIY app, each bracelet’s journey is tracked, measuring the growing ripple effect of kindness.
Meanwhile, Jared Scott has spent years inspiring students through The Culture Shift Tour, a high-energy experience combining live music, storytelling, and leadership training to shift school culture and empower students.
Together, IBIY and The Culture Shift Tour are more than just programs—they’re a movement. Through dynamic assemblies, interactive workshops, and real-time impact tracking, they’re transforming schools, strengthening mental health, and creating a culture of resilience and belief across the nation."
